In The Night Poem by Nebil Elias

In The Night

Sitting alone in this room
Having only a glimpse of the silent moon
I lay awake, thinking
Watching the stars in the city, blinking

I swim along with my thoughts like a river
Listening to the silent whispers of the wind, gives me shiver
Silence of the night gave me different chills
My head filled with unknown shrills
I sat up by my window
Watching every fuss and every shadow

In the midst of the night
I write my poems that rhyme
I listen to songs that make me cry
Embracing all the pain inside

In the night nothing feels right
In the night I always fight
Either I drown in my emotions or survive
