In The Secret Room Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

In The Secret Room

In the secret room of Prayer
When all the world's shut out,
In deepest intimacy, I find You there
You hem me in, inside and out.

Wordless silence fills my heart-
You speak, LORD, and I listen.
Before the prayers from my lips start
You know them and answer, even then.

Before the Throne of Grace I bow
Speechless, enthralled by Your majesty!
You've opened my eyes and now I know
Eternal God, You are LORD Almighty!

Isaiah was right, we have unclean lips!
Unworthy to fathom such Glory!
Yet You have taken us and now we worship
Sovereign God, dwell in us eternally!
