In The Years To Come Poem by Matthew Holloway

In The Years To Come

In the years to come
When I have become old
Become forgotten
A solitary flame lost
In the night of time
Upon such days and hours
Remember not this
The heartbroken and lonely
The submission of joy
Remember I ask of you
Those words I once wrote
Words of artistry
Words of poetry
That an old lonesome soul
May be thought of
In some welcoming light
