In this time of terror
I stay close to You
reading words of truth
helps me see it through;
In this time of sorrow
I sing to You of thanks
of sun and wind and shadow
that bounce off riverbanks;
Of cottonwoods that tower
above the water's edge
of waterfalls that glisten
above a canyon's ledge;
In this time of sadness
I lift my heart to You
blessed that You have called
and shown to me what's true;
In this time of trouble
I stand fast in hope
loving You with all my heart
with faith that I can cope.
