I splash in waves of dark and light,
Eternal day, eternal night.
With mirrored sheep, I float and catch
Warm rays of sun that shyly patch
Into the world in shades of white.
I splash in waves of dark and light,
But darkness calls and I will slip
Into the depths, a sundered ship.
Enrobed in black, I flail around;
I cannot see when eyes are bound.
I splash in waves of dark and light
To grasp the meaning of my plight,
That waking is not death to sleep;
I learn to step and then to leap,
Now dancing to my soul's delight;
I splash in waves of dark and light.
