Incident On The Border. - Poem by Slava Olchevski

A family travelling together
Came to a border crossing
Two girls, a mother and a father
Didn’t expect so much bossing
From a customs and border agent
Who gave them a very hard time
Proving to himself, that they committed crime
In a travel documents management

The punishment was strange and lame
First, I played and lost a favorite customs game
I was proven, beyond any reasonable doubt
That agents had all rights to keep us out
From getting back on American soil
Without the papers, they had all the spoils

I had no desire to abort our mission
And I called in, for a special permission
The access was granted, we have nothing to fear
From a special border agent called Mr.Redfearn
