Indian Summer Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Indian Summer

Rating: 5.0

Winds wickedly blow like stripping thieves
The landscape is covered with fallen leaves
Barren limbs somberly concede…
As a turn about warms and misleads

Balmy breezes reminiscent summer’s start
Bring praises and revitalize a subdued heart
November days are out of the ordinary
When Indian Summer appears momentarily

Transparent blue skies allow the soul to dream
A soft whisper reminds…this is not what it seems
Breathe a sigh and thankfully enjoy the relief
Knowing that this wonderful pleasure will be brief…
