Indisputable Proof Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Indisputable Proof

There are ways to express anger.
And ways to avoid,
The doing of it to address.
Yet...
There are those who bait,
With a choice to choose...
To continue to escalate,
An ignorant point of view.
As if to wish being put in their places.
Done coming from someone who 'spews' it.
Without anger.
But with a truth too overwhelming.
Leaving another to regret,
Using stupidity to use.
And a wish they had tissues,
To wipe the tears...
Unexpected from their eyes they can not hide.

"I expected you to yell.
Why didn't you yell at me.
Now those who see me,
Think it was you...
Who made me look like a fool."

-I hate to be the one,
To break the news.
But...
You provided that evidence.
Long before I came to assist,
With my help to you given...
To reveal indisputable proof of it.
Although I will admit,
At your expense...
I think the onlooking audience,
Seemed more to enjoy than I did.-
