Inequality Poem by Lorraine Margueritte Gasrel Black

Inequality

Rating: 3.0

Is the lamb as strong as the lion?
Nature's laws
Equates survival of the fittest
Quality of life is a
Universal law for those
Always fair and strong enough to
Live as
If Life is all there is
Today before one seeks and
Yearns for equality, but knows its niche

The lion may be strong, and yet the lamb still survives. I can't understand what this poem wants the reader to hear...but it seems to say that we spend too much time trying to grasp equality, when equality is not meant to be grasped; it hints of the afterlife, and things that are more important than equality.

Nature being what it is by its owns laws would say we are prey or predator and sometimes both..The human concept of equality is a human value that we apply to our species and none other...
