Infidel Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Infidel

Infidel

Read a book
- "Infidel"
-read halfway

Somalian…

The custom is to know
-memorise
-the names of one's parents
-and parents of parents
-ancestors

It is law of deserts
-with Nomads and Arabs

Recently I have been busy with TRC
-First Nations' rebinding with their past
-it takes me to the Jews, Kurds, Arabs
-all cultures scattered and branched

"My dad is a Jew so…? "
-one told me…
- "…I am not accepted…"

I smile and recall the Torah and Bible
-every child is of dad…not mother! ! !
- "When and why came changes? "

True that DNA
-possibly and maybe
-can tell us of our past
-genealogy, ancestors
-I can find the culture
-of Nomads and deserts
-amusing, respected…

Many thank to authors
-of the books, articles
-that I read and have read
