Innocence - Poem by Robert Edgar Burns
I will use the Word Of God to defend
Everything I say or write.
Others use political talking points
Issued by Washington day and night.
You may not now or ever agree with me,
But I've lived this all my days.
Let God be true and all men liars,
You have always heard me say.
Satan has deafened many ears
As time is running out soon for him.
He places obstacles to deceive some,
For our souls he wants to win.
But God opens the eyes of His children,
So His sacrifice was not in vain.
He wishes everyone would find the truth
To avoid eternal pain.
Truth is very much one sided,
Like gravity with the snow and rain.
You will see it if you look upward,
And it can wash away all sins that stain.
When it comes to terminating pregnancy,
Two wrongs NEVER make a right.
Evil men who hurt someones daughter,
Will find a home void of any light.
Do not punish little helpless ones.
Even laws made against God's rules,
Will also stand His judgement,
Those laws passed by many fools.
We can murder sweet and innocent ones
But we can't crack a turtle egg.
Even humans could become extinct,
But for their lives no one ever begs.
Abortion was a sanitized word
Invented to sterilize the word kill.
Just like the horrible word of fetus
To block the stigma of BABY Jack or Jill.
