Insolent And Malicious Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Insolent And Malicious

Rating: 5.0

You had an angel-like appearance
As we both were groping our way
Along mysterious highways lost.

Remarkable how hidden and forgotten love
Resurfaces when you meet a heavenly soul
In the hour of desperation after every sacred dream
As been abandoned to emotional trash heaps.

How utterly strange to kiss you in the dark rain
And how surprised I was to even remember how!
But your thin adorable mouth pulled me like a magnet.

You thought I was being insolent with this maneuver
And malicious with my fondness for you,
But every fiber of my painful existence was seeking love.

'Light of the world shine on me - Love is the answer.' We are all seeking love in one form or another, else what is life worth living for? Sad desperation in this poem, and hauntingly beautiful at the same time. Linda
