Instant Connection Poem by David Harris

There are times when we meet people
and an instant connection is born.
We cannot explain it, nor do we try,
it is something about them
that catches our eye.
We know as we get to know them
a lasting friendship will ensue.
This stranger holds an attraction
that awakens something within
and soon a long friendship begins.
We know instantly
when times of troubles flow
that we will be at one another’s side,
never letting go.
