Instinct Sweeteners Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Instinct Sweeteners

Instinct sweeteners.
Distributing substance free treats.
And spewing false beliefs.
With encouraging words,
A doing of this nourishes...
The hearing it repeatedly received,
Brings a wealth of strength...
To those cheering the appearance,
Of an image to affix,
What it is they anticipate to get.

Yet...
This appearance makes no difference.
Nor is there evidence of it to prove.
Since...
Their instincts sweetened to deceive,
Has left more addicted on deception.
As if to expect and accept.
Than the substance of reality.
And the feeding of truth that releases,
The keeping of their minds...
Conscious in times of frauding fakers.
Delusion creators and political thieves!

"What has happened to the minds of the people? "

-The more they are frauded,
By those falsely faking to flaunt it...
It's as if they are moths,
Attracted to a flame.-

"Even if they may be burned to death? "

-The closer they get.
And...
With thunderous applause.
As if the idea of it captivates.-
