Insurrection Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Insurrection

A promoted insurrection,
Allowed to take place.
And to disgrace,
The image of democracy.
And its face.
With this given a permission,
By one who has lived a life...
Breaking rules.
Deceiving truth and disobeying,
Authority and the law.

This insurrection.
Claimed not to expect.
Yet...
The one who sits,
In a leadership position...
Twitters and tweets,
A daily feeding of threats.

How can this be allowed?
In country that denies racism.
How can this be allowed?
When division is custom.
And the truth to tell,
As it is...
Is diminished to be fictioned.
Animated to be a myth.
And laughed at not to exist.

People...
Are defending their delusions.
People...
Are made to despise the truth.
People...
Can't accept what reality is.
Since this for them,
Was never from birth...
Been introduced.

Entitled to be entertained.
Entitled not to use their brains.

People...
Are defending their delusions.
People...
Have been heated by fraud.
People...
Are following deceivers.
And they chose,
Lies best of all.
Tweeting deception,
Behind white painted...
Historic walls.

Entertaining made false claims.
Sitting as leader,
Feeding lies to deceive.
Entertaining made false claims.
And causing,
An effective insurrection.
Entertaining made false claims.
And...
Coming from a mind,
Unable to stable.
Yet selling to be sold,
An insurrection.
Coming from a mind,
Unable to be stable.
Yet selling to promote,
An insurrection!

Some people think,
They are always right.
Because...
Well,
This has been made obvious.
Some people think,
They are always right.
Because...
Well,
This has been made obvious!
