Interpreting Our Themes
Ravel, when asked if he’d completed
his next work, declared he had,
except for themes, which when repeated,
he hoped would make the audience glad.
Life, like music, has its themes
that we cannot complete until
they are interpreted like dreams
from which we waken with freewill.
