Intimately Challenged Poem by gershon hepner

Intimately Challenged

INTIMATELY CHALLENGED

He’s intimately challenged when
a woman says: “I love you, ”
quite typical of many men;
of course there are a few
who like it when a woman shows
her feelings, although most
would shrink away when loving grows.
Perhaps they like to boast
that, independent, they are free,
but truly they are bound
by fetters to their fruitless tree,
and tethered to the ground.
When women tell them how much they
adore them, they could soar
a different challenge to obey:
love no more to ignore.
