Into The Sky Poem by Lisa Webster

Into The Sky

Standing, looking over a darkened pit
unsure of its depth
or if there's even a bottom to stop my falling
if anyone would be there to catch me
then I turn to what lies above me
I know the sky has no depth
no bottom, no measurement
day by day, it stretches more into eternity
it does not echo,
your voice does not reveberate off any walls
to reinforce your solitude
instead, your utterings linger in its vastness
they are never forgotten
just as you are never forgotten
that is where I long to be

You won't be forgotten silly. Annie will remember you. I'll remember you too. I like this one too.
