Iracema Poem by keith brown

Iracema

Rating: 5.0

I waited for you my love
Patiently
Open heart and fragile soul
Wrapt in a blanket of hope
Woven from loneliness and
Embroidered with threads of longing

I waited for you my love
With
The Amber of every virgin sun,
The tranquillity of each starlit night and
The passing of each fleeting season

I waited for you my love
Yearning
The tenderness of your touch
The gentleness of your smile
The music of your laughter

I waited for you my love
To give my heart and share my dreams
With a passion that would quell all the fires
Of hell
And surpass all the joys of heaven

I waited for love
Patiently
And when you came I Knew!
