It Always Hailed Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

It Always Hailed

In my village it's always hailed
Many things thus failed
But many a mountain, we scaled
And storms of ridicule, braved
Even's the villagers in anger, raved
We tried't all; agains'time, raced
Always spoofed; our record can be traced
War stories, fake glories; egoes debased
For our learning's ignorance based
