It Don't Bother You Poem by Dorsey Baker

It Don't Bother You

It's a rainy night
Raindrops falling down
Hard upon my head
In the middle of the street
In the middle of the jungle
I'm standing naked
Afraid and alone
But it don't bother you

It don't bother you
What happens to me

I'm in a prison of loneliness
And I cannot escape
When I'm down on my luck
Nobody will lend me
A helping hand
And I just cannot
Find peace of mind
But it don't bother you

It don't bother you
What happens to me
How can you be so cold

Just to stand and watch me
Suffer this way
I m wasting my breath
Because you never seem to
Hear a dog gone
Word I say
Because it don't bother you
It don't
Bother you what
Happens to me
