It Is Christmas Poem by Randy McClave

It Is Christmas

Rating: 5.0

It is Christmas Eve
Santa comes tonight,
Dreams children will weave
For the morning light.
Presents underneath the Christmas tree
For all the good girls, and boys,
They are now filled with joy and glee
For their coming candy, and toys.

It is Christmas Eve
Santa again is on his route
Children dream, and they believe
So, they don't fight, misbehave or pout.
Santa will soon arrive
And of course there is no "maybes" or "ifs",
He has that long North Pole drive
To bring all good children, their gifts.

It is Christmas Day
Presents have been unwrapped,
"Thank you Santa"! children will say
With cheer and emotions untapped.
Presents were not forgot
Toys were played with, sweaters are worn,
But, a gift sadly they all forgot;
The child was born.
