It Is Closure Poem by Leslie Alexis

It is closure that my heart seeks.
I approached you humbly, even meekly,
Seeking resolve from this distress.
It was as a good time, you agree, yes?

I guess life happens and people part,
But you will forever be in my heart.
For to me you were more than an encounter,
You were more than just someone I'd bother.

I guess that is why it is so hard to let go.
It is very hard, but I have to let you go.
The memories that remain bring me sorrow;
It's sad that we can't be friends tomorrow.

Life can be cruel, yes it really can.
Parting may be sad, but makes me a better man.
Thank you for the time you gave, and this lesson.
It's a pity what happened. I wish you God's Blessing.

His richest… these are the ones I want for you.
I said this once before, with all my heart, it is true.
Here even with your parting and my feeling blue,
I want you to know, I consider you a woman of virtue.
