It Is In Their Eyes Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

It Is In Their Eyes

I am not one of the muppets.
Having fantasies is not my dilemma!
Dissecting it from those
Trapped in costumes
Disguising their worth...
Is the utmost challenge,
All of us face today!
Since masquerading is coming to an end.
These folks have 'never' been exposed.
Without unmasking their true feelings.
And it is in their eyes,
A desire to be freed!
Although Mickey and Minnie...
Will forever have plastered smiles!
