It Is The Hope Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

It Is The Hope

It did not have to become,
What has been done...
By many who have given,
Breath to their lies and deception.
With them repeatedly told.
Until reality no longer questions,
Their ability to walk, tall and breathe.
Confusing those feeding upon fed delusions,
To accept more what has been fictioned.
Than a truth to observe it to witness,
Lose both credibility and belief.
And is the hope it stays that way.
Kept not to provoke the folks,
Determined to think of truth told as a joke!
