It May Be Said Of Writers Poem by Francis Duggan

It May Be Said Of Writers

It may be said of writers they are born not made
But every writer is needed in the wordsmith trade
Of the millions of writers only few make the grade
And so many from memory are quick to fade
In literature not many become a known name
And some even die before achieving fame
In literature like in all things for one to win big many does have to
lose
And losing is a thing that anyone does not choose
Success stories from literature to say at least rare
And few from writing ever become a millionaire
In most things in life the very successful are few
Andthis is not saying anything that is new
And in writing as in most things it is much the same
So few writers do ever know of wealth and fame.
