It's been ages since we've become strangers,
Now this isn't about me it's about you.
Since then all i've heard about you,
is how often you get drunk.
And i've always seen you in the middle of your smoke puffing away.
You've lost your way to college,
You think you're living a great life.
I don't want to see you killing yourself,
It's high time you realise,
You're not getting anywhere being high,
Responsibilities are waiting for you,
Grow up and take them up instead.
You know how your father died,
don't follow his footsteps,
your mother and lil bro need you,
Honey please grow up before they give up....
(i'm sorry if this was too harsh i'm just being honest i really mean this..)
a nice writing and a reminder to all.. well done..thanks for sharing! ! ! .. deserves a 10...
hi, PS.. an excellent poem...which brings me to memory of my father who died from lung cancer. He was a chronic smoker. About 5 years later, my mother died from the same disease. She was passively inhaling the smoke, I think. Would you please read mine A smoker SOB. If someone read our poems and quit smoking, it is worth writing. Best wishes thanks....U Win Kyi.

Loved this poem...you can really feel the agony both the lovers are going through because destiny was not in their favour One of the two is hiding the pain behind the curtains of addictives while the other has nothing more than words...brilliant
