'' It's How We're Designed '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' It's How We're Designed ''

Why do we lie?
To conceal the truth,
Attempting to deny,
Is totally uncouth.

Why do we steal?
Is it truly through need?
Or does it reveal,
We're obsessed by greed.

Why do we kill?
Can it be condoned,
Yes, some have the will,
This skill they've honed.

Why do we cheat?
Is the grass really greener?
You will feel the heat,
When it hurts your demeanour.

Why are we jealous?
Of what others crave,
You'll become over-zealous,
It's yours if you save.

Why feel such wrath?
It just causes pain,
Choose a different path,
From anger refrain.

Why seek retribution,
Turn the other cheek,
That is the solution,
You're strong not weak.

Why do we hate,
Loving is greater,
It's not up for debate,
Ask your creator.

Why are we living,
Seek and you'll find,
To be cordial and forgiving,

‘' Is How We're Designed ‘'

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It costs nothing to pass on a smile or a word of praise to others, not only that the benefits are always two way, try it, it does work.
