It's Okay To Weep
Sometimes I start crying
in the middle of the day
Not knowing for what or why.
This sadness has now
become a part of me
Where even a word or glance
pierces me deep.
Maybe it's the residue
of all those moments
when I was broken and hurt
those I thought I had overcome.
Now there's nothing to do but drown
Shed tears without making a sound
And tell my heart it's okay to weep
Until it has the courage to heal.
