No-one can deny,
Time does fly by,
When young you don't really care,
At oldies you sigh,
Their ways you defy,
They make you feel such despair.
They bring you to tears,
For too many years,
You've listened to their ranting and raving,
They burn your ears,
Going through the gears,
Yet to teach you they have a craving.
They've made mistakes,
Been through bad breaks,
If you listened to the lessons they've learned,
For all of our sakes,
The advice one takes,
Will ensure their respect is well earned.
Yes, it's true,
All that you do,
They've probably done it before,
Whatever your view,
When life goes askew,
Your problems they would never ignore.
With them you'll connect,
By showing respect,
Believe me their knowledge is vast,
It's you they'll protect,
Your skills they'll perfect,
There's a lot to be said for their past.
Life doesn't stall,
We don't know it all,
But on you, our futures we're staking,
Whenever you fall,
Give us a call,
What we do know,
‘' It's Yours, For The Taking ‘'
