It Sounds But Familiar Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

It Sounds But Familiar

Numbered 're the days
Wherein patience pays
Springing from the day's rays
Therein love stays

Of love 're we taught well
That in life, He's the eternal well
We sacrifice; in Him we dwell
For life's just but a duel

Existence's strange
Wherein the strong live, the weak vanish beyond the range
Will they ever revenge
When this's been 'fore stone age?
