It Was Something You Said Poem by Jeff Fleischer

It Was Something You Said

Rating: 5.0

When push came to shove
And I was denied the slighest bit of love,
It was something you said that gave me hope,
As I was like a boxer falling against the ropes.
So now, I no longer have to stumble in the dark.
I can soar like the lark.
I'm so grateful to you for being so kind,
And helping me to restore my peace of mind.

It was something you said that gave me hope, As I was like a boxer falling against the ropes. So now, I no longer have to stumble in the dark. I can soar like the lark. Simple beautiful poetry..the use of simily is so apt in the above lines. Rehana Nazli 24/8/09
