It's Okay, To Be Gay Poem by Randy McClave

It's Okay, To Be Gay

It's okay, to be gay
I remember that thought my mom would say,
When someone was gay and them she would meet
Happily with a smile unto them she would always greet.
If they are happy she would say leave them alone
Their destiny has already been shown,
And if they are in love just let them be
Whether it would be a he or a she.
Being gay is not evil or a crime or a disease
Because with your partner you want to love and to please,
Remember the Devil wants you to hate and kill
That gives him power and a thrill.
Remember Jesus never said that being gay was wrong
He said with everyone we should love and to get along,
And then when we are born again through his salvation
We will all then become a new creation.
My mom had saw and felt pain, evil, anguish and hurt and sadness
But, she wished she had instead saw love and gladness,
Remember, any male and female together can create a life
But, sometimes that's not love and it causes strife.
My mom believed and as she was told
We live by the New Testament and not by the old,
The Old Testament is full of murder, revenge and pain
Beginning with Cain.
