It's Thanksgiving Day Poem by Randy McClave

It's Thanksgiving Day

It's Thanksgiving day
Let's sit down and watch the parade,
Then later we will pray
As we dine on the food our mother's made.
Let's watch the parade on tv
As our mothers prepare our food to eat,
The children will smile with glee
As they wait later for a treat.

It's Thanksgiving day
Here in the United States,
I am so very thankful in every way
Where freedom always dictates.
I'm thankful for my freedom
And I'm thankful for my Lord God,
I'm thankful where I come from
Neither one is a facade.

It's Thanksgiving day
The third Thursday in November,
Happy Thanksgiving to all I happily say
As every American does proudly remember.
We are thankful for the food on the table
As we celebrate our way of living,
With family and friends strong and able
We celebrate Thanksgiving.
