I've Never Lied Poem by Emmanuel Joseph Olumakiss

I've Never Lied

I've never lied
Neither to get pay
Nor when the day is sober
Tell me why all those tears?

The old grief on your face
The long strip on your lap
How come the wound and the bruises?
My apology again you've reject

Go behind my back and investigate
I'm ready to pay for your ride
If I've for once cheated
Or far from being mutual

There we laid our tents
I've kept all that I have
Do not lead me out of love
Lend me your shoulder another night.
