Jarasandha Poem by Pallab Chaudhury

Jarasandha

Rating: 5.0

My dad had a passion of gardening
And I was very young then.
Seeing the freelance hard worker
One of his friends said with assurance-
Don't worry, my dear friend! The sapling
Which you have planted
Will grow in the same pace
As that of your children;
You won't have problems at all…

Now, I am twenty five plus;
The saplings have grown-up into trees
And crossed my height.
It's holding a canopy with deep shadow
Offering me sweet and pleasant breeze,
Flowers, fruits, branches and oxygen;
I reciprocate them by leaving off
Carbon dioxide.

Overcoming the complex multiple way of life
One day I surprised to see
The another Jarasandha on earth
With plant and animal life
As it's two halves!
