Je T'Aime Amour Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Je T'Aime Amour

She visits my prayers
Our hearts throbbed on the lines of Shelby County
Dipping towards the Mississippi, the stars lit the way
Like breath not knowing the gift it bestows
In this dark room nothing else shines
Against these covers nothing else is softer
The touch of knowing your there
Falling laying down as your voice lulls the darkness to sleep
Again I say a prayer knowing you'll be there before light brightens the dark
Falling as emotion ripples through the chills lips have yet to quiver
Just to know your there amour
