Jealousy's Call Poem by Fay Slimm

Jealousy's Call

Rating: 5.0

Looking for hearts to burn with mistrust
The Monster approaches, jaundiced with lust.
Examining with sceptical care,
It imparts to motives a doubting disgust.
Jealousy's calls maybe rare,
But being informed means we can be aware.

This visitor does not intend to be kind.
It implants disbelief in the mind.
Suspicions begin to arise,
Questioning meanings, attempting to find
Dishonour, it appears with green eyes, .
Condemning reasons before they are tried.

By misunderstandings sensibly sorted
Jealousy's call can be foiled, then aborted.
