Jefferson Poem by Ramona Thompson

Jefferson

A con on the run must decide between his freedom and the lives of the ones he loves the most.

Just own up to your many sins, already
Empty and pour out your soul so bitter
Fatal consequences could await if you do not
For your own peace of mind and the safety of your family loved ones you must do this
Extactly this and nothing less
Running away from your dark past is sadly no longer an option
Senseless to try and deny that fact
Only a short time left to make your final decision
Now I leave it up to you, my friend

What's it gonna be?

The sacrifice of your precious freedom or the sacrifice of their lives?

2008 Ramona Thompson
