In darkest night when all seems lost and forlorn
Fear overwhelms and perils the heart
Think of me and I will be there with you
Close as the beat of your heart, breath you take.
When you lose your way, confused, bewildered
Frightened, crushed in despair, weeping
Come to me, I will be your guide and shield
Strength, light guiding you through the night
Step by step, supporting when you falter
Showing you the way to Heaven's gate.
God Almighty, enthroned, eternal love
Glorified by Angels, saints, repentant sinners
Residing bright, wonderful, joyful everlasting.
Come, believe in me and you shall never die.
