There are gems that I've seen that inspire me
Be they words, or the actions of some
There are sparks in the past that require me
To have seen more than there is to come

If the jewels in the words that I've written
Have brought messages that have inspired
Who knows just how badly I'm smitten
To keep writing unless I get tired

When a feeling inside me releases
And leads to these words I express
It has so much power, and pleases
And it shares just a day's happiness
