When life called time on Mother's Years
It left us all in floods of tears
And as we come to deal with grief
For her, it must be some relief
She blessed our lives with love galore
Left any woes at the front door
Was part of every single day
And shared her love in every way
We won't forget her kindness
Or the way she helped us so
Nor the way she loved our children
Teaching them the way to grow
The countless ways she taught them
How to notice right from wrong
How she built a loving friendship
That helped them become strong
She recognised their weaknesses
And nurtured how they grew
The man and woman they became
Has been with help from you
So as we turn the memories
Into an open book
Each chapter tells a story
How a loving home should look
And now you're gone, and life moves on
We hope that we can mean
As much to those we love the most
And help them build their dream
We won't forget your kindness
We won't forget your pain
And most of all we'll think of you
Until we meet again.
