I was watching John Oliver on television
He's a British journalist were an interesting vision

Putting This Week Tonight together each week
Where he finds quirky news angles not too discreet

It is mainly a slant on American politics and life
To search and find what's wrong and their strife

And with President Trump giving him material
So readily that it makes the program the real deal

He upset the New Zealand prime minister
Because he was boring and not at all sinister.
