You being a chick in our nest
when took to your tenderly wings,
on test, for the first time
Something, I remember, truly bothered me
and I did scribbled it down
experiencing solace in mind, then
Being a grown up self reliant cockerel
you flew away, once again
Scanning Scandinavian blues, this time
still, making my inner soul feel it
But, to write about it, this time too?
Never mind....
I'll remain quite, chewing the cud,
Cos' She is there now, and let her do it.
Nonetheless, just know my little son
all the lamps lit in full, will fail
to brighten up our little nest, like earlier,
when we've to remember, once more
Mother hen's birthday, tomorrow
Solace in mind! ! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Beautiful poem, it captures the reader's wonders, as a parent I can find many things to read between the lines.
Beautiful and powerful poem this is really. Very nicely birthday wish is conveyed. This gives inner soul a nice feeling. Brightening up the little nest is interesting really.10

Lovely poem marked with that special feeling a father has for his child.... Also a reminder in his hectic life not to forget an important day of sweet wishes which his mother rightly deserves!
