For so many people
the American dream
is just a dream
A dream that don't
never come true
no matter how hard
they try or what they do
The American dream is just a dream
A dream that don't never come true
For some people
the dream is still alive
for other people
the dream is already dead
Pray for the people who
walk the street in sickness
Pray for the people
who don't have no meat and bread!
We can all dream
the American dream
but when you don't have nothing
its so hard
to keep the American dream alive!
