Just Another Road That You Turned Down Poem by Dorsey Baker

Just Another Road That You Turned Down

Baby you won't see me
because I won't be around
baby you won't see me
because I won't be around
I'm just another road you turned down

Baby I used to be first
thing on your mind
now I'm down to zero
no longer your hero
Baby I'm just another road
you turned down

Baby I was your backbone I was
your life line
When no one else was around
Now I'm just another road
that you turned down

Baby just a warm blanket
to cover me as I lay upon the ground
I'm just another road
that you turned down

This one reads like the words to a Mississippi Delta Blues song. I can hear the tune in my head. Another smashing success for Mr. Dorsey Baker!
