Just Know Poem by Amanda Swain

Just Know

See the past’s darkened hearth
In the eyes of time’s domain
See the future before you in birth
Stand not outside when hell rains
Tears of fears of despair
Don’t laugh at the wraith
Lest it be you standing there
Just when you think it is safe
Another fear exists
Just when you think you are okay
You will have yourself to thank for this
But know that you still have a day
Even if you must live it in time
Just know that you aren’t alone
And that you have committed no crime
And your death will not be as long
