Just My Thoughts Poem by Josh Burnett

This is not really a poem I was just writing thoughts down but I hope you enjoy.

You cried I feel apart.
I just want to hold you here.
I told you you was good enough,
But you just could not remain tough.
I gave you my arm tried to make you strong,
But you just wouldn't let me fix all the wrong.
You walked away I had to say so long.
But I know exactly where I belong.
With you hand in hand.
And now I understand.
I tried to be the best I am.
Just to make you smile.
But in the end it wasn't wrothwhile.
How can I make you laugh.
You know I've got your back.
From any kind of attack.
I held you so long ago.
But where'd you go?
Nobody knows.
But I won't let you go.
I'm drawing apart.
You broke my heart.
And my life went dark.
Where did it start.
So I can try to fix it.
I might as well forget.
There is no more try.
Because you are not mine.
You said I made you lie.
But you were the one
Who made the love die.
I have no reason to cry.
Because I was always
By your side.
But you called me out.
Screamed and shout.
Now I know what you're about.
No more you.
No more me.
There's only loniless.
I was never the best.
Distastefully I spit your name.
Faithfully you drive me insane
And we both walk away.
To deal with the pain.
And stand in the rain.
Was our love that lame.
My heart lies slain.
Beaten by your hand.
You push and I shove.
We never tried to rise above
The calling of the hate.
That is all we say.
I don't wanna stay.
Because you play
Those child like games.
But I do just want you to know
That I have found someone
Twice as good as you
Could never measure up
To be.
