Killing Me Silently Poem by Josh Burnett

Killing Me Silently

I can hear your whispers behind my back.
I know that your words are a dart.
Trying to pierce an already broken heart.
I want you to stay,
But you want to walk away.
I'm speechless as I sit and watch you hurt.
You say nothing to me and just walk away.
Crying I sit on bent knees.
Praying that you will come back to me.
The fear is not loniliness,
But it's the pain that will be cast.
I don't even know how to ask,
Therefore I don't know why.
I know what my heart feels is true.
I know that I only want you.

But your words are a stab.
You look is a punch.
Your touch is an attack.
You're killing me silently.

I know what's right,
But is wrong right?
Is day night?
Is there a reason to fight?
I don't think so,
Because you don't know,
And i guess you never will.
I sit here aimed to heal.

But your words are a stab.
You look is a punch.
Your touch is an attack.
You're killing me silently.
