Just One Look And I Knew What You Were Thinking

Out of all the memories,
just one stand out the most,
the one where I spoke up,
and said things that he didn't like,
but at the same time,
I can't help but get that image,
out of my mind,
it's like even though I may be free,
you was still trapped in his power,
it was that look in your eye,
that gave it away,
since I fought back,
he was going to take it out on you,
you were next in line,
it was the reason,
why when I have that other image,
with you standing in the room with him,
me watching from a distance,
him telling you something,
just by the way you turned,
and looked at me,
I could tell it wasn't good,
in my mind all I could think was,
'somebody need to help him, '
scared to speak up,
tears falling down my face,
words could not form,
I felt helpless,
door closed,
and I knew what was happening,
that all I can remember.
